Look out Loma Prieta 1989, meet Rebuilding Day 2012 – we are expecting to cause a few minor tremors in San Francisco’s tectonic activity.  The positive shakeup the volunteer teams, prep teams, office volunteers, sponsors, captains, donors, videographers, and photographers will make on our 21 projects will be off the charts.

We’ve gotten many individuals stepping up to be leaders as Volunteer or Construction Captains, sub-captains and task leaders.  Their efforts and the months of planning has helped calm the craziness that is typical leading up to Rebuilding Day.

This year hasn’t been the usual class 5 tropical storm, but we have been hovering at a respectable class 2 and it looks like we’ll be staying there *knocks on wood*.

After Rebuilding Day, we’ve got the Captains Celebration!  It is less of a tropical storm, more of a shin dig.  We’ll be giving out hints on  our Facebook and Twitter feeds.  All Volunteer Captains, Construction Captains and all other volunteers that have contributed 2 or more days of sweat, love and work to this huge effort are invited.  We’ll be giving special shout-outs to our Rebuilding Day Rock Star volunteers.  These are volunteers that have really gone above and beyond the call of duty leading up to and during Rebuilding Day.  Join us for good food, great beer, live music and perhaps some schwag.  Look out for the invite.

Keep an eye out, we will be featuring each Rebuilding Day project on our blog thru May and June!
