Do you know your way around basic hand tools? Are you familiar with basic tool safety? If you’re excited to roll up your sleeves and get involved, check out these tasks (Level 1& 2).

Many of our clients are seniors or disabled adults that either need basic safety modifications to age safely in their homes or have minor repairs that directly affect their quality of life but are unable to fix due to mobility or lack of funds. We’re always looking for volunteers that know their way around a “honey-do” list and can help us tackle these repairs, which range from installing a grab bar, tightening a handrail to caulking a drafty window or removing shower doors. Our year round program has a very flexible commitment level and we provide both tools and training – all we need are volunteers excited to learn!

Our needs require volunteers with various skill levels:

• Level 1 – Able to rake, shovel, sand, clean, prep for painting, & Fun to be with
• Level 2 – Experience operating hand tools (hammers, handsaws, drills)
• Level 3 – Have basic carpentry skills (can operate a circular saw, level & square)
• Level 4 – Have strong carpentry, construction, plumbing, electrical or other skills

All of the clients listed here will include tasks for a volunteer comfortable with Level 1 or 2

Any of the following tasks that you feel comfortable tackling, will be a tremendous help. Many of our projects require multiple visits from volunteers with varying skill levels so please don’t feel like if you have to do all aspects of the tasks! Contact us for more information.
