As the holiday season approaches and 2012 is ending, we reminisce over the successes and achievements we’ve accomplished this past year, and we realize we have too much to be thankful for. Ms. G from the Excelsior – A Project Snapshot

The Project: Ms. G is an elderly widow living in the Excelsior and has lived in her home for 43 years. Her husband was a part of the US Navy and a big part of her life. Maintaining her home became very difficult for her after Mr. G passed on.

Mr. L from Bernal Heights – A Project Snapshot

The Project:  Mr. L has been a San Francisco resident for most of his life.  He is also a united states Veteran.  He was drafted for the Vietnam war, but the government ran into a snag because he wasn’t a current U.S. Citizen.  After things were straightened out, he was sent to the Korean War.  There he met his wife and the moved to San Francisco and they’ve lived happily in their home for 37 years.  Rebuilding Together San Francisco hopes that the services provided will make their home safer as they age.
