Why Sponsor a Rebuilding Day project?

Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable home ownership and revitalize communities.

This year Rebuilding Together received a “Leading the Nation to Healthy Homes, Families and Communities” award, presented by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) during their National Healthy Homes Conference in Denver.

In 2011, 13 of our 35 local sponsoring companies made the List of Top Corporate Philanthropists in the Bay Area.
These companies:

  • Make a strong commitment to employee volunteerism
  • Maintain a company-wide ethic of giving back
  • have employees who are excited about rolling up their sleeves and making a big difference in one day.

Who are the Sponsors?

Sponsors are the key to a successful Rebuilding Day! They contribute volunteer and financial support to home and facility repair projects. Our sponsors are local businesses, large corporations, high schools, church groups, and college clubs. You can even create your own sponsoring group by getting a group of friends to work on a home or facility together.

Sponsorship contributions range from $25,000 for a group of 75-100 volunteers to $3,000 for a group fo friends to work on a prep weekend. Usually the company, school or church will contribute the funds from their charitable accounts, but if your group doesn’t have those resources, we’ve set up an online fundraising site to help you raise the funds, visit our Razoo page to get started!. How does a Sponsorship work?

Since 1989, RTSF has coordinated thousands of volunteers for an outstanding team-building and community service event. Your team will come away with a lasting sense of pride and accomplishment as you make a tangible difference in a facility or home in San Francisco. RTSF will provide Project Management support from our staff, a Construction Captain to oversee the technical building aspects of your project, on-site signage and t-shirts, media promotions, and listings in our newsletter. The sponsor team provides a Volunteer Captain who recruits volunteers for Rebuilding Day and works closely with the Construction Captain to manage the team on the Rebuilding Day. Other Corporate Giving Opportunities

Special Event Sponsors are critical to our fundraising success and provide an excellent way to enhance your company’s visibility in the community. Annual event sponsorship opportunities include Changing Neighborhoods, Changing Lives – our fall fundraiser, Make a Difference Day in October, and our Critical Repairs program – a year round home safety campaign. Sponsorships offer various tiers of sponsor recognition – all with marketing benefits – including recognition in the newsletter, signage, website, annual report and more.

Workplace Programs and Matching Gifts

Workplace Giving Campaigns are designed to encourage employees to contribute, while letting them choose a cause that is meaningful to them. Rebuilding Together San Francisco partners with the United Way and the Combined Federal Campaign where employees can create an automatic payroll deduction for giving. You can also show your company’s support for the community by starting or promoting an Employee Matching Gifts Campaign so that you can increase the impact of every gift and volunteer hour donated by your employees.
