It’s that time of year again friends – Rebuilding Together San Francisco is actively recruiting applications for next year’s National Rebuilding Day, next April, Saturday 28th, 2012.

  • Do you know of a neighbor, friend or community member that could benefit from free home repair or basic safety modifications?
  • Do you frequent a local nonprofit, community center or live near a public school that could really use a renovation?

Please refer them to us, our applications is on our website HERE and our deadline for next Rebuilding Day is August 31st.

For homeowners: The type of home repair work done is on a case by case basis, depending on what the clients’ needs are and focus on safety and aging in place but typically includes: interior painting, carpentry, electrical, heating issues, light plumbing, fixing stairs, appliance upgrades and more. Our income guidelines are here.

For homeowners and renters: We can also provide basic safety modifications that allow them to be safer in their homes and bathrooms, such as grab bars, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, handrails, raised toilet seats, handheld showerheads, bath benches and more. We are also able to provide energy efficiency upgrades, such as wrapping water heaters, faucet areators, weatherstripping, CFL’s and more. Our income guidelines are here.

For nonprofits, community centers and schools: We can provide a team of volunteers to improve your space during our April Rebuilding Day, you don’t need to own your building and projects range from painting, organizing, and general beautification to building a community garden or a garden for elementary age children or finishing a build out…and everything in between!

Please keep your eyes open, if you know someone that could benefit from our services, please have them contact us!
